To rent a self-drive car, the primary driver must provide: (1) A valid original Indian Driving Licence (held for at least 1 year) or an International Driving Permit, (2) A valid government photo ID such as an Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID, and (3) A refundable security deposit. During the spring, summer, and autumn months, standard 2WD SUVs and hatchbacks (such as the Mahindra Scorpio N 2WD, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Maruti Swift, and Hyundai i20) are fully capable of navigating all paved valley routes including Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg. However, during winter snow conditions in Gulmarg or for high-altitude passes leading to Ladakh (Zoji La, Kargil, Leh), a dedicated 4x4 vehicle (Scorpio N 4x4, Thar Roxx 4x4, Jimny 4x4, or Toyota Fortuner 4x4) is strongly advised.

Rental rates exclude fuel. Cars are provided with a verified fuel level and must be returned with the same amount. Refueling stations are abundant throughout Srinagar, Anantnag, and along major national highways.
A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle handover. The deposit is refunded promptly upon vehicle return, following a standard inspection for any new damages, traffic challans, or fuel variance.
Yes. Our vehicles are legally registered and permitted to travel across Jammu & Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh. Please inform our team during reservation so we can recommend the most appropriate 4x4 model and provide updated pass advisories for Zoji La.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours receive a 50% refund. Please refer to our full Cancellation Policy page for complete details.
